Stress Analysis Engineer - Structures

Aircraft Structural Analysis Engineer to provide technical support and oversight on advanced light jet aircraft development program. Candidate will apply in depth experience in analysis of aircraft structure. Perform analyses using strength in traditional hand calculation as well as Finite Element Modeling. Coordinate with engineering design team to provide technical support and participate in problem resolution. Establish and maintain guidance documents and methods for structural design and analyses to assure uniform implementation and compliance with standards. Aircraft Interiors Engineers

You will perform interior design engineering for cabin/cockpit structures, components, and trim for Honda aircraft. You'll serve as the interface between design, certification process, and production to ensure FAA certification of aircraft design in a timely manner.

To be a successful candidate for this position, you need an appropriate undergraduate engineering degree with 5+ years experience with CATIA v5, Visual Basic, Matlab, Simulink, FiberSim, determinent assembly techniques, composite curing, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. You'll also need to be proficient in the design and analysis of cabin/interior parts for general aviation aircraft including panels, bulkheads, glareshield, sidewall panels, lavatory, luggage compartments, etc. You will also need to participate in design reviews of your activities on a regular basis.

Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer

Engineer responsible for all instrumentation related activities on assigned aircraft.

Leads instrumentation effort to produce airplane modification drawings to support instrumentation installation and conformity, and supervise the daily instrumentation work effort on the assigned aircraft.

Produces instrumentation installation drawings and maintain calibration records; telemetry systems engineers provides programming support for creating and maintaining calculated parameters; provide technical supervision to instrumentation specialist performing instrumentation work on the test aircraft.

Provides technical to assigned team members.

Support an average of 2 test flights per day per aircraft; a portable telemetry station; a portable calibrated ground weather station; up to two weeks of offsite testing in addition to testing at GSO; and record up to 3 hours of data on every flight. Makes telemetry data available immediately for post flight analysis; makes aircraft recorded data available within 30 mins of aircraft return; proficient in the use of data plotting software capable of reading directly from flight test data.

Duties may also include scheduling, design, documentation, implementation, procurement, conformity and maintenance of instrumentation systems required to support FAA certification flight tests.

Should have 10 to 15 years of directly applicable experience with a Bachelor's degree in the appropriate engineering discipline; Master's degree preferred. Must have a strong working knowledge of data acquisition systems and instrumentation design and calibration practices.

Should have familiarity with various aircraft systems and engines and their associated instrumentation installations. Should have a proven track record of bringing in projects on or under budget and on time.

Training Administrator

We're seeking someone who has experience in the development and execution of targeted training programs in a complex, technical environment. The scope of the training programs developed will be ranging from technical training of newly hired technicians and engineering personnel to management and leadership development training programs. To be considered for this role, you will need an appropriate undergraduate degree, coupled with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the design, development, and delivery of innovative training programs in a corporate environment. High technology experience is preferred for this position, in addition to a high tolerance for ambiguity.

Installation, configuration and replacement of desktop and laptop computers. Technical support of all desktop and laptop hardware and printing issues. Minor hardware repair of desktop and laptop components. Installation of desktop software including Microsoft Windows, Office, Lotus Notes and Adobe Acrobat. Technical support of all desktop software application issues. Installation of business application and engineering software and clients including SAP, TeamCenter and CATIA.

First-level technical support of business application and engineering software and client issues. First-level technical support of network issues including Internet connectivity and file sharing. First-level technical support of telephone issues including PBX, conferencing and voicemail. Escalation of all first-level technical support issues as necessary.

As the Helpdesk solution (ticketing system and knowledgebase) is developed, this position will handle at least 1/3 of all first-level technical support issues without needing to call on second-level support.

GENERAL: This position is for a senior level engineer reporting directly to the Manager, Electrical Systems. The engineer will lead the design, development, and integration of the Electrical Power System for the HondaJet aircraft.

EXPERIENCE: 10+ years working with aircraft electrical power systems in the areas of design engineering, system analysis, and system test. The potential candidate must be capable of handling complex individual work assignments, must possess excellent coordination skills, and must work well in a multi-functional team environment.

A strong background and demonstrated ability is required in the following areas:

• Generation and distribution of aircraft DC power. Experience with classic power systems is required, experience with solid state power systems is desired.
• Aircraft electrical load analyses and load management
• System lab testing, aircraft ground functional testing, and flight testing
• Design requirements of 14CFRPart 23 and EASA CS23.

Flight Control Systems Engineer

This candidate will work on the design of the Ironbird. He/she will be responsible for the 3D modeling and drawing creation of the Ironbird structure including the installation of the Primary Flight Control System (PFCS). The individual will also integrate the selected loading system and accompanying equipment into the IB design. The candidate will also provide direction and guidance to vendors selected for build of the IB.

The candidate must possess a certain familiarity with flight control systems layout design. CATIA experience (preferably V5) is essential, as is experience working in ground test or flight test. The individual should have a proven track record of working to schedule and possess the ability to work in a dynamic team environment. Years of experience must be 5+ (preferably 10+).

Test Program Documentation Systems Test Engineer

This candidate will be responsible for all documentation associated with the Ironbird test program. The individual shall be responsible for coordinating IB process documentation, writing and releasing IB test plans, procedures, and reports. The candidate shall also be the primary focal for maintaining the IB configuration and execution of IB tests.

The candidate must have prior systems test experience in ground or flight test. Experience in report writing and data reduction is also essential. Familiarity with flight control systems is an asset as is a proven track record of working a test program from start to finish. Years of experience must be 10+.

Flight Controls Systems - 3D Modeling and Drawing Creation

This candidate will work on the 3D modeling and drawing creation of Ironbird instrumentation installation for the Ironbird Data Acquisition System (DAS). Additionally, he/she will lead the effort for the sourcing and supplier management of both the DAS and IB surface loading system.

The candidate must possess a certain familiarity with CATIA (preferably V5). This experience must be related to systems installations and/or equipment installations. Experience working with instrumentation in a ground or flight test environment is essential. A proven track record in managing suppliers and performing to schedule is an asset as is the ability to work in a dynamic team environment. Years of experience must be 5+.

Primary Flight Control System Design Engineer

This candidate shall play a primary role in the analysis of Primary Flight Control System (PFCS) design. He/she will be involved in ensuring the certification compliance is properly demonstrated and tracked. The candidate shall also support in the resolution of technical compliance issues with the certification authorities.

The candidate must have working level knowledge of mechanical flight control systems and system analysis. Familiarity with Part 23 or 25 airworthiness standards is also essential. Familiarity with CATIA V5 is an asset. Years of experience 2-5.

Avionic and Control Systems Engineer - Automatic Flight Control Systems

This position is for an engineer reporting directly to the Group Lead, Control Systems. The engineer will be a member of the team tasked with design, development & integration of the Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS), including certain control law designs and definitions.

Primary tasks will include AFCS simulation, control law design & analysis and system testing. Additional duties will include definition of system design requirements, statement of work, interface specification, integration testing (hardware-in-the-loop), certification testing and support in the design process and tool development.

Should be familiar with modern control system design and analysis methods, modern avionic system architectures, commercial data-bus standards & requirements. Should have knowledge of FAA and EASA certification requirements, including airworthiness, operational requirements. Should have knowledge of equipment qualification standards including RTCA/DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, RTCA MOPS & MASPS, & TSO/E-TSO. Preferred candidate would have hands-on experience on control system design and the design of system monitors and signal selection logic. Preferred candidate should have experience in formal requirements flow down and traceability, ARP-4754 and the concepts of validation and verification (V&V). Experience on actuation and sensor (e.g. air data, inertial) systems is a plus.

Candidate should be fluent with Mathworks MATLAB/Simulink for control design and analysis and should be familiar with Microsoft Office suite; DOORS and PLM tool (TeamCenter etc.) experience preferred. Experience with other Systems Engineering process tools used for Requirements Management, Defect Tracking and Configuration Control is a plus; more specifically experience with ClearQuest and ClearCase is considered an advantage.

Sr. Manager/Leader Quality Assurance

Inspectors - Structures

Description

Perform HACI Quality Control review and approval of Supplier Certificate of Conformance packages in accordance with Inspection Plans, Engineering Orders, Material Specifications, Process Specifications, Parts Lists, and Drawings to ensure design data accuracy, product conformity and safety of flight. Coordinate any certification or product shortages in accordance with approved quality control procedures with receiving inspection.

Perform visual inspections to ensure product was shipped to HACI in accordance with any special packaging requirements, shipping requirements, and to verify that product was not damaged in transit.

Perform any inspections required to validate First Article Inspection requirements, company conformity in preparation for FAA Conformity Inspection requirements, and/or structures Tooling & Fixtures that require QC inspection. Coordinate inspection requirements with HACI TC Quality, Quality Engineering and/or receiving inspection as applicable.

Perform an inspection required during aircraft structures manufacturing and/or assembly phases. SAP transactions to include completion of verifying completion of manufacturing operations, inspection operations and/or recording of product nonconformance(s) in accordance with approved quality assurance procedures.

Communicate with structures suppliers to resolve issues when applicable.

Requirements

A Quality Engineer will have the experience in and perform the following duties. This function should have all the experience and duties for a Quality Engineer plus: DAR designation preferred and/or FAA Part 21 experience. Have experience in evaluating engineering drawings and specifications. Experience with certification processes and required documents. Experience in traveling to supplier facilities to perform certification actions. Inspect product to specific engineering data; ensure type design. Ensure the product is airworthy per regulations. Determine if product meets specific company process specs. Analyze and write reports for certification.

Quality Engineer - Manufacturing

Provide assistance to program teams on problem identification. Identify non- compliance Root cause identification, corrective action and verify fix. Audit and Corrective Action System and database. Drive continuous improvement. Establish standards for reporting and analyzing data measurements. Supplier Quality tasks and audits. Coordinate supplied material Purge and MRB activity. Develop Quality procedures and instructions. Have basic computer skills. Good verbal and written communication.

Requirements

Quality Specialist

Description

Develop, direct and accomplish QC programs that require the application of advanced Quality Inspection techniques and methods.

Accomplish development of QA programs for new products/processes, outlining organization required, inspection techniques and methods, manpower requirements. Perform detailed inspections on aircraft parts, assemblies, installations and specifications to meet the Engineering Type Design Data. Analyze inspection methods, tools, equipment and facilities to determine basic requirements for control of quality at desired level. Review work instructions, ensuring that inspection operations are correctly placed and drawing requirements are adequately addressed. Perform offsite supplier conformity inspections as required to support type certificate activity. Support non-conformance report (NCR) initiation. Active liaison for calibration and tooling inspections. Understand and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Provide guidance to floor inspectors on interpretations of such documents. Liaison between manufacturing and quality assurance personnel during Certification activities to ensure compliance to regulatory and engineering requirements. Focus on manufacturing needs by multi-tasking and meeting schedule deadlines Seek ways to improve/streamline inspection methods and intradepartmental communication. Cooperative behavior and a helpful attitude. Comply with Honda's values and ethical standards and all applicable policies. Description

Perform aeronautical part receiving inspections; prefer FAA designation as DMIR, DAR or ODAR; and perform all associated functions.

Perform first article and conformity inspections, source inspections, analysis, write reports and maintain quality records. Originate and maintain process maps, procedures, develop and adminster training and qualification testing.

Requirements

Must have demonstrated proficiency with the tools of quality including but not limited to, continuous improvement, quality auditing, risk management, and root cause analysis in an aircraft OEM environment.
